Arne Hulstein? Playfulness 3

June 11th, 2011

Jack is a personal injury lawyer. He entered his Office at 10th Street and earned? enough points for the Town Hall of his Office of Dan, his colleague from stealing. On his way to the Office, he resumed a coffee at the local Starbucks with a 10% discount to be their mayor. A town hall, he loves really like he love their coffee. Foursquare checkins determine a geographic location you check in through your smartphone. Points are awarded for travel, audit, for the addition of sites and other things if a firm chooses to do so. And record people to beat their friends on points. Everyone wants to be at the top of the dashboard.

No, this is not including Republicans is committed to assist in their legislative maiden voyage. It is that they targeted procedures, family and health-destructive budgetary expenditures.

Women and children first!

Playfulness is an excellent tool to work with. Over the past two years, we see tables emerge on everything. The motto of playfulness or gamification is “If you can count, you can mark it”. And if you can mark it, you can use it as a trigger. A trigger of thought, a trigger to buy, a trigger to participate.

In the playfulness, see us social game like a rapid montage. Games like farmville, where you build a livestock and to share with your friends would never become a successful five years ago. But now everyone played Farmville or other social games through facebook, through portal sites, or by other means. Social game you can play along and against your friends in the games without having to present to do so. But you are the best competition always to be the largest, friendliest etc.. And people love it. They play for hours on end, and they are willing to pay for the higher notes. Just as they do with many more games online all over the world. For example, games Spil games company serves 130 million customers unique about 30 billion games every month. This means that 11 500 people are playing a game with them every second of the day.

The statistics are great. But how translate you that something that you can benefit? You have perhaps in a very serious matter. You might think that there is nothing fun about what you do. But you need to reconsider. You need to look at what you do in a new way. If it can be counted, it may be a game. If it can be shared, it can be a game. And your playground is your entire target audience.
Alice heads the Department of safety of the municipal Council. For years, she has tried to involve citizens in what it does. She knows that when may have their cause, the streets will become a safer and faster it could never achieve. Alice could use gamification in its process to involve people. Things change when there are things that you can achieve for yourself and for others. Alice can get out on the streets and ask people to add their concern to a list. The list is then transformed into a Council of achievement that shows the problems, their owners and people who have solved the problem. You can earn points by solving the problem. Problem owners can offer rewards to solve their problem, so there is more to that point. As Alice found often the problems of the community relate to their security, these problems will solve a large part of the Department of Alice needs to address problems.

The trend is that we see adults play as much as we see the children playing. And their games is not serious. People will take time to simply have fun. And there is an angle that you work. To do that make you happy. Make it count towards something of that your target audience may believe. Make something that matches your goals or your product. And you can. Whatever it is can be transformed into a game. A good. A game that raises your audience target to have fun. And if they do, they will credit you and your products for it.

Of course, grant Hall hesitates ever to shred this sacred contract when it comes to obtain billions of dollars more money than a farm bill authorized, whether “aid disaster” (an annual procedure Act) or “economic emergency” (reason to be doubly subsidies late 1990s and early 2000s).

This post is part of a series on 10 social trends that can help you to get your message. For more information or a custom on what advice might be your opportunities, get in touch on arne@arnehulstein.nl

Safe Food Additives Are? | Snack Girl

? ? new?older?

After 9 years in higher education, one would think that Snack Girl would understand the chemistry of food database. Alas, it is lost when studying some food packages.

Aerial bombardments have been reported outside the city of port of Benghazi, and owners of cargo vessels are reluctant to send their vessels in areas where the crew could be threatened or damaged property.

“We urge for Libya safe humanitarian access,”, said WFP Executive Director, Josette Sheeran. ?”This shows the magnitude of the challenge that we must confront, especially if it is necessary to ramp up food and other forms of assistance in Libya. ?”

whole wheat flour, water, corn syrup high-fructose or sugar, wheat gluten, yeast. Contains 2% or less of the: soybean oil, salt, sulfate calcium, extracts of malted barley and maize, honey, corn syrup, soy, flour dough conditioners (sodium Stearoyl lactylate, calcium dioxide, ethoxylated mono and diglycerides, dicalcium phosphate, mono and diglycerides, azodicarbonamide and/or datem), yeast nutrients (ammonium phosphate, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate and and/or monocalcium phosphate), enrichment (acetate, vitamin E, ferrous sulphate, sulphate of calcium oxide, niacin, vitamin D, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, thiamine mononitrate, and vitamin B12), wheat starch, corn starch, maltodextrin, vinegar, propionate calcium (to preserve freshness), whey, soy lecithin.

So, what I wanted to make you say a guy who was cool as Wonder Bread found in whole wheat. But, after reviewing this list as”a moron”.

Fortunately, I found the winters of Ruth and his book – “of the consumer, a dictionary of food additives” (2009). Ruth has catalogued tirelessly all food additives for seven editions help people like me feel smart again.

Here is an entry on one of the chemicals in the Wonder of whole wheat bread:

AZODICARBONAMIDE – flour additive maturation and a bleaching. Used in amounts up to 45 ppm. The FDA wants a more comprehensive study of the chemical for short- and long-term effects. Welcomed as a food additive, it is no use declared current chemical product, and, therefore, although toxicology information may be available, it is not being updated. It is a potentially serious problem. See Semicarbazide.

I chose azodicarbonamide on purpose because I know that the chemical was banned in Australia and in Europe. USA, hello?

(and now I bet you want to see the entry “semicarbazide”)

And yeah, I’d. There is bread out there with the ingredient lists similar to this: flour of wheat whole, water, salt, yeast and they taste better so I would not buy this bread.

Ruth has been kind enough to give me an interview about his book. See below:

Snack Girl:
You’ve written 7 editions of the “dictionary of consumers of food additives.” What prompted you to start?

Ruth winters: When my daughter was about 4 years old, she had a terrible case of hives which the pediatrician or allergist could find that causes.

Finally, the Allergist said: “it is perhaps the penicillin in milk.” I was a journalist both in the Newark Star-Ledger and I said, “that the penicillin in milk.”

He said, “well well, treat farmer mastitis cows themselves without the need of a prescription of antibiotics.” They are supposed to throw the milk of infected cows. “But the milk is pooled from the various farms and it is difficult to know who developed penicillin in the pool”.

And that’s how I started. Like everyone, I thought that the FDA is looking over each food producers shoulder to check the ingredients of food. I found that I was really naive.

I began to investigate the safety of the food and the result was the first, “POISONS in your food” and the second was “of the consumer, a dictionary of food additives.”

In my research, I found there is absolutely no government regulation of cosmetics, and the result was “consumer DICTIONARY OF COSMETIC INGREDIENTS.” The last two books are now in their seven released recent editions and the second edition of “POISONS in you FOOD” is still available in-store and online.

Snack Girl:
Do you think that the FDA is doing its job?

Ruth winters: There are people dedicated to the FDA, but they are coarsely and underfunded, and are a political football.

For example, the formulas for cosmetics, required by the FDA are strictly voluntary and FDA promises business will protect info from competitors. There is a person of the FDA in the room with the secreted forms and when he or she must go to the bathroom, room door is locked and unattended.

The new Director of the FDA seems to be enthusiastic to change things, but we shall see if it can…there are many reductions and controversy from the Government. Manufacturers of cosmetics and food additive have powerful lobbies and a lot of money.

Each time the FDA has them before the courts, the FDA spends a lot of her money sparse and loses the case… so most of the time, they don’t worry.

Now, most of our food and cosmetic additives is made in China and India. The FDA in a gesture, has opened an Office of three people in China to oversee the multi-billion dollar food and cosmetic ingredient industries.

Snack Girl:
When you go grocery, which you absolutely avoid?

Ruth winters: Sugar high salt and high products… more packaged cereal

Snack Girl:
What is your favorite snack?

Ruth winters: Index of salt Triscuits and blown.

Thank you, Ruth! I Gotta try these Triscuits.

How do you feel about food additives?

WFP calls for safe humanitarian access to the Libya after a ship carrying food aid was forced to turn back Thursday in security issues. “This shows the magnitude of the challenge we face,”, said Executive Director of WFP Josette Sheeran.

Citing reports from media, the aid agency said aerial bombing occurred outside of the port of Benghazi, and that the owners of cargo vessels are reluctant to send their vessels in areas where the crew could be threatened or damaged property.

“This shows the magnitude of the challenge that we face, especially if it is necessary to increase food and other forms of assistance in Libya,” Josette Sheeran, Executive Director of the world food program, said in a statement, adding that the Agency was “exploring every possible humanitarian corridor to be ready in case need to escalate.”

Lawmakers Grill Vilsack On The USDA Food Safety Budget

June 8th, 2011

Grilled House legislators Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack Tuesday on the impact proposed cuts budget Republican would have on the main services of the Ministry of Agriculture of the United States as food safety inspection.
Democrats asked pointed questions about food safety in particular before a hearing of appropriations subcommittee of the House Agriculture focused on budget by the USDA for the rest of the year. The Republican continuing resolution – which would fund the Federal Government spent Friday when the current bill expires – to passed the House last week and contains a 88 million cut to the the food safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the USDA budget.
Vilsack still sounded optimistic that a decision of the Government would be avoided in the impasse over the budget.
“We start with the proposal that you will get it worked,” Vilsack said to the Committee, the report of Hagstrom (subscription required).
House Appropriations Committee ranking member Norm Dicks (D – WA) worry cuts supported by budgetary Republican closure and permissions and flying inserts plants which could lead to.
According to the report of Hagstrom, Vilsack confirmed that rapid action would affect staff FSIS because the budget for food security “is essentially personal”, but added that hope would not stop of Government.
Food security Hawk Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D – CT), former Chairman of the Sub-Commission, pressed Vilsack on the issue.
“We cannot hope for the best that will result from this process.”. How many inspectors should be given? How many chickens destroyed? What is in place to ensure that we don’t want another failure of inspection? “Hagstrom CITES said DeLauro.
By DeLauro account, Cup in HR 1 of 88 million for the rest of the fiscal year – a reduction of 8% of FY 2010 funding levels – proposed would affect States of Republicans serving on the Subcommittee. Said DeLauro 15 plants would be closed in Georgia, a shot Rep. Jack Kingston (R – GA), the current Chair of the ag Appropriations Subcommittee. She added that 44 plants would be closed in Iowa, a number sought Subcommittee member Rep. Tom Latham (R – IA) attention.
Carol Tucker-Foreman, fellow of food policy distinguished to the Consumer Federation of America and former Under Secretary of the USDA, believes that the reductions will be difficult for the industry to handle meat.
“Congress does not change the law requiring the constant presence of inspectors, in slaughterhouses and everyday in treatment” noted Tucker-Foreman, in a response email to food safety news. “In a desire to meet the commitment to produce large reductions in rapid budget they’re in place collision between a force irresistible (campaign promises) and immovable object (current law).”.
“This is bad news for consumers,” says Tucker-Foreman. “Disruption of inspection are likely to increase the risk of contamination and could raise prices.”
Tucker-Foreman added that reduced inspection could hurt meat processing plants and impact on stakeholders further supply chain.
“Bad for farmers and ranchers who will not get inspected animals and will have to keep feeding them [and is] a special threat to the small processing plants,”, she added.
A FSIS Inspector, which is not allowed to take the floor on behalf of the Agency, expressed similar concerns.
“On inspection, we will see increased workloads because empty vacancies in factories who need coverage.” We already have inspectors more his retirement that we are going to hire, “wrote the Inspector in an email.” “We cannot attract attention where it is necessary because we feel as we do not have the time.”.
The Inspector also noted that small plants may be affected disproportionately. “Small plants that work only two days that a week may not get covered.”. If there is no inspector, they cannot run… Jobs will be lost. ?
The House and Senate must agree on a short term, probably two weeks measuring some time this week, thus avoiding the closure of the Government for the moment.

01-18-11 Association Is Encouraged By Newfound Commitment The Administration To Eliminate The By-Laws Of Growth-Murder? Onair Barn & 24/7/365 Online

April 3rd, 2011

WASHINGTON (January 18, 2011) – the?National beef cattle Association welcomed news that President Obama today, January 18, 2011, signed a decree entitled “Improvement of regulations and regulatory review” which aims to review all federal regulations and eliminate employment and growth-killing regulation.

“Farm Safety 4 Just Kids relies on the financing of agri-businesses, such as the foundation of CHS to develop resources of security, in addition to supporting grassroots volunteer program,”, said David Schweitz, Executive Director. “Our chapters have delivered over 1,000 events 86 000 young people and their families thanks to generous donations from companies such as the foundation of the CHS.”

An article by January 18, 2011, appearing in?The Wall Street Journal, President Obama?, said the Executive order calls “a government-wide review” of federal regulations and “to remove the outdated regulations that stifle job creation” and to make our economy less competitive. In addition, the President declared this order will help to ensure that the Federal Government to avoid “Regulation excessive, inconsistent and redundant” and leads “” Federal agencies to do more to take into account- and reduce – the settlement of charges can be placed on small business. “”

Foglesong said this action of the President is reassuring but must occur immediately. More specifically, Foglesong said dust from the EPA regulations would make essentially illegal to drive a truck on a dirt road. He said of the USDA on the marketing of livestock is a perfect example of Government discouraging the private market.

“This order is a step in the right direction for this Administration.” NCBA supports common sense regulation based on sound science to foster the growth of the industry, “says Foglesong. “Unfortunately, most regulations that have been proposed over the past two years will have harmful effects on the ability of cattle producers to do their job.” We look forward to working with the Administration on this new initiative to eliminate the use and growth-killing regulation and move the economy of the United States and the livestock industry in the right direction to the front. ?
